A life for art and education
Lilia Gavrilenko
For five decades, Lilia Gavrilenko has combined her own artistic practice with inspiring children, young people and adults through art. Her path led from studying and teaching in Vitebsk to her formative work in Stolzenau.
Since the 1990s, she has played a key role in shaping cultural education work in the region and the development of the Kunstschule Mittelweser. Countless generations of students learned from her to take a closer look, to master techniques and to develop trust in their own ideas.
50 years of art education work stand for knowledge and experience - but above all for curiosity, personal attention and the joy of seeing other people grow through art.
